There are an endless amount of amazing restaurants to pick from. We do recommend that you do not drink the tap water because it is highly chlorinated, and will likely cause an upset stomach.

Festivals
![]() Enjoy Luxors beautiful scenery and many street festivals. One of the most famous is on Nov. 4th. The city is in mass celebration of the discovery of king Tutankhamen from the eighteenth dynasty (1347-1336 BC). Another enjoyable festival is two weeks before Ramadan(Islamic fasting ritual). There is an outdoor street celebration called Abu El hagag Festival. Enjoy music, dances, horse races, stick fights and a beautiful parade of the boats down the streets next to the Nile.

![]() El souk is a vary famous street market where you can buy traditional goods as well as souvenirs.
Savoy street is along the Corniche on the East bank and is an indoor shopping srtip. The west bank also features some shops that are mostly tourist orientated with plenty of souvenirs. Museums
